"The festival is a collaboration of one acts directed by the Advanced Directing class at Point Park University," said Emmy Masteller. "Normally they are produced and presented back-to-back in the Pittsburgh Playhouse. This year things changed because of COVID-19 and we all made short films."
"From my first day at Point Park, we were learning real-world knowledge about the industry. The emphasis of experiential learning allowed me to complete five internships. The professors taught us everything according to industry standards, which prepared me greatly for my first job."
"My hands-on courses and internships allowed me to gain skills that the communications industry covets. Also, being able to walk downtown from my internships at KDKA-TV and the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette to my courses at Point Park was so convenient. The city was our playground for learning."

The Point Park University America250PA student team of Brianna Farrand, Divine Kennedy, Kayla Snyder and Sabrina Tatalias developed and presented an integrated marketing campaign for the United States Postal Service that has advanced to the Nov. 19 state competition in Wilkes-Barre, Pa.

Assistant Principal Shannon Howard, Ed.D., earned a principal certificate from Point Park in 2005 and later returned to the University to earn a doctoral degree in leadership and administration in 2018.
