The School of Communication offers current high school students exciting opportunities to visit Point Park University's Downtown Pittsburgh campus and learn what it's like to study in one of our innovative communication majors.

High School Media Day and Newsapalooza

Friday, Sept. 27, 2024

This fall, High School Media Day will be held in conjunction with the Center for Media Innnovation's Newsapalooza, a first-of-its-kind event to celebrate and support journalism. 

Please fill out the registration form below with an estimated number of students attending High School Media Day. A final registration form will be provided the last week of August which will include student names, photo consent, allergies and session selections. 

Cost: $12.50 per person
Scholarships available for students on free or reduced lunch and/or title 1 schools.

Summer Camps

Point Pitch

2025 date TBA 

Partnering with the Pittsburgh Opera, high school students will develop a high-level marketing communications plan at Point Park University's inaugural Point Pitch competition for the chance to win a $500 prize for the winning pitch. 

Teams of up to six high school students will develop creative ideas to promote Bravo Academy — an arts and music summer camp for students in 6th-9th grade.
