"Pittsburgh is just small enough that it's not intimidating to walk around but it’s also big enough to find new spots, so definitely check everything out. There’s a lot to do!"

Why did you choose Point Park?

I really liked the cinema program and was excited to get involved in it. I also liked that it was close to home.

What makes going to Point Park for your major different from any other university?

Cinema isn’t a very widely offered program, and Point Park’s program is laid out differently than most other schools. It allows students to have hands-on experience from their freshman year, which is very unique. It’s also nice to be in a city that has a blossoming film scene.

What activities are you involved with at Point Park (both on campus and off)?

I work on a lot of film sets, so that takes up most of my time. I help out mostly on other student films, but I also work on other indies that shoot around the city.

What changes have you noticed in yourself since moving to Pittsburgh?

I’ve become more outgoing since being here and found a good group of friends!

Pittsburgh is the best city for _________?

Food! We've got a great variety.

Where is the best view of the city?

I’m pretty particular to the view from the North Shore, but Pittsburgh’s great from every angle.

What advice would you give to an incoming student?

Explore the city! Pittsburgh is just small enough that it's not intimidating to walk around but it’s also big enough to find new spots, so definitely check everything out. There’s a lot to do!
