The School of Dance in the Conservatory of Performing Arts at Point Park University has been recognized as one of the Best College Dance Programs for 2025 in the United States by DanceUS.org.

DanceUS.org is a leading portal for dance professionals, learners and enthusiasts. DanceUS.org is an independent online publication with over 250,000 monthly visitors, featuring unique content and editorials.

“We are once again honored to be included on DanceUS.org’s prestigious, annual list of exceptional dance programs," said Garfield Lemonius, dean of the School of Dance and artistic director of the Conservatory. “Our dedicated dance faculty are tireless in their efforts to prepare students to enjoy accomplished careers within the dance field."

The School of Dance includes Concert Dance and Commercial Dance departments and the option to minor in choreography and musical theatre. It also allows students the ability to earn a B.F.A. in Dance with concentrations in ballet, jazz modern dance and hip-hop (beginning fall 2025).

Additionally, it offers a B.A. in Dance Education Certification Pre-K through 12 program and a variety of options for students to earn an undergraduate and graduate degree as part of our fast-track bachelor's to master's programs.

Integrating tradition, innovation, and artistry to move beyond labels, the School of Dance attracts highly skilled and motivated dancers who are willing to engage with the world around them and advance the dance field.
