Point Park Professor Judges International Media Competition Wednesday, April 27, 2016
Tatyana Dumova, Ph.D., professor of multimedia in the School of Communication, served on a panel of judges for the 2016 Communicator Awards Competition sponsored by the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts.
The awards honor creative excellence in advertising, corporate communications, public relations, and identity work in print, video, audio and interactive media. According to AIVA, more than 6,000 entries were received from U.S. and international firms, including Accenture, Canon, Delta Air Lines, ESPN, Honda, IBM and Macy's among others.
"Reviewing creative work by communication professionals from around the globe is both challenging and rewarding," said Dumova who has served as an AIVA judge for the past three years. "It helps me keep up with the latest trends in visual and interactive media in order to better prepare students for successful professional careers."
