Tell us about the work you do as a photography intern.
My main job is to photograph soccer games and events at Highmark Stadium. I'm also in charge of editing the photos I take. I've had my photos published on the team's website and other sports websites like DK on Pittsburgh Sports and FanSided. It's pretty exciting to see my work published.

How have your classes helped you in this internship?
I've learned how to compose a photograph and how to edit raw files. The skills I have learned to edit photos have helped me the most in this internship.
What's it like being a student at Point Park?
It's really nice to have professors who will help you to become a better photographer. Whenever I need help with school or even my photography business, the professors are willing to help. I also love that they are working professionals; that's the reason why I chose to study photography at Point Park.
What advice do you have for a prospective student?
Always have a plan and network with as many people as you can. You never know who will help you land a job or an internship.
What are your career goals?
I would love to own my own studio because I love creating art and taking portraits. My other goal is to become a head photographer for a sports team. I really enjoy taking pictures of soccer and hockey games.
Anything else you would like to add?
The players and the staff members at the Riverhounds have made me feel so welcome and at home during my internship. Everyone is extremely kind and willing to help. I've learned so many new things.
