Daylong Events Kickoff Opening of Point Park University's Center for Media Innovation Sept. 13 Wednesday, September 7, 2016

Point Park University will officially open the Center for Media Innovation with a daylong series of events Sept. 13.
Highlights of the day include a morning panel with local television, radio and newspaper professionals, an afternoon panel with local new media professionals, and an evening with Sarah Koenig, host and co-creator of the Serial podcast.
Located at Wood Street and Third Avenue, the 4,000-square-foot center has floor-to-ceiling glass walls, flat-screen televisions and a digital ticker that offers a New York City-style media hub where passersby can be entertained and informed as students learn their craft.
Sept. 13 Kick-Off Celebration Schedule
Reception and Opening Ceremony
- 9 a.m.: Reception in the Center for Media Innovation.
- 9:15 a.m.: Opening ceremony in the CMI, overflow in the Lawrence Hall Ballroom.
- Audience invited: Media, Point Park University leaders, elected officials and invited guests.
