Why did you choose Point Park University for your bachelor’s degree in broadcasting and again for your MBA

My decision to attend Point Park University for both my undergraduate and graduate degrees was influenced by the University's commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive community. The University’s strong focus on practical learning and the dynamic interplay between theoretical knowledge and real-world experiences was appealing. Point Park’s emphasis on community engagement resonated with my own values, making it the perfect fit for both my bachelor’s degree in broadcasting and my MBA.

Which faculty members and courses had a significant impact on you?

Professor Gina Catanzarite had a significant influence on my academic and personal development during my time at Point Park. Her course, "On Camera," in the School of Communication not only equipped me with the skills necessary to be an effective communicator but also helped build my confidence as a woman in the professional world. Her guidance was instrumental in shaping me into the self-assured professional I am today.

Describe your career path and what inspired you to launch your own business.

I then utilized my MBA knowledge and founded Plants for Skin, a natural beauty refill store in the Lawrenceville neighborhood of Pittsburgh. The inspiration to launch my own business came from a commitment to environmental sustainability and a desire to make a positive impact in my community.
