Mitchel Nickols, Ph.D., a part-time instructor in the MBA, Ed.D. in leadership and administration and Ph.D. in community engagement programs at Point Park University, was the keynote speaker at the Pennsylvania Municipal League 2018 Annual Summit in Cranberry Township, Pa.

A diversity and sensitivity trainer and consultant for police departments and school districts throughout Western Pennsylvania, Nickols spoke at the summit to Pennsylvania mayors, city managers and council members on the topic of leadership and engagement of the total municipality. 

Nickols currently teaches the following courses in the Rowland School of Business, School of Education and Department of Community Engagement at Point Park University:

  • Ethical Leadership and Sustainable Organizations (MBA program)
  • Cultivating Ethical Diversity, Research Writing, Dissertation Seminar and Chair of Dissertation Committees (Ed.D. program)
  • Comparative Organizational Systems and Assessment and Evaluation of Decision Making (Ph.D. program)
  • Guest lectures for the Department of Management in the Rowland School of Business

He is also an author and motivational speaker focused on diversity and inclusion. Nickols' latest book is titled, Paved: Passion, Attitude, Values, Energy and Determination.
