Reading Recovery Training Program

Point Park University offers a two-course program for training teachers on Reading Recovery, a short-term intervention program for first-graders having difficulty with early reading and writing. These 15-week courses are designed to prepare experienced teachers to implement specialized reading methods and strategies for use with young children with reading difficulties.

Act 48 / Act 45 PIL

Continuing Professional Education

Act 48 of 1999 requires all Pennsylvania educators holding Pennsylvania public school certification including Instructional I and II, Educational Specialist I and II, Administrative, Supervisory, Letters of Eligibility and all vocational certificates to participate in ongoing professional education.

Reporting hours/credits

To report hours/credits to the Pennsylvania Department of Education complete the Act 48 Voucher form.
