B.F.A. and B.A. Dance Auditions 

B.F.A. and B.A. dance applicants are required to submit an academic application prior to scheduling a dance audition. Once the academic application is submitted, applicants can schedule an audition date via Point Park University's Accept'd homepageYou will need to create an account in Accept'd in order to upload dance materials and register for an audition date. 

Artistic Review Fee

A $115 artistic review fee is required for B.F.A. and B.A. dance applicantsFee is paid upon completion of the artistic application process via Accept'd. Payment is non-refundable. 

Conservatory applicants can be considered for an audition fee waiver. A waiver is based upon an applicant’s financial circumstances; i.e., you have received or are eligible to receive a College Board (SAT) or NACAC application fee waiver, you are Federal Pell Grant eligible (based upon your FAFSA) or your current financial situation stipulates that the audition fee would present a hardship.

In order to process a waived prescreen fee, you will need to go directly through Accept'd. Specific information regarding the requirements and process to request a fee waiver is available on Acceptd's website.

Requirements for Prospective B.A. in Dance Education Majors

Beginning fall 2024, Point Park is offering a B.A. in Dance Education Pre-K through 12 Certification.

Admittance into the B.A. in dance education program requires sufficient knowledge of dance as demonstrated in a dance audition OR artistic portfolio review.

Artistic Portfolio Eligibility 

  • Documentation of five or more years of professional dance teaching, choreography or dance performance experience is required.
  • An interview with the dance department faculty will be required for those who are being considered based on their artistic portfolio submission.
  • Applicants lacking professional dance experience must audition for consideration of admittance to the B.A. in dance education program.
