All First-Year and Transfer Students Admitted for Spring 2025

Spring Pioneer Experience is a comprehensive one-day orientation program for new students that takes place the Friday before classes begin and integrates students into the university community.  Students receive information on resources and learn how to get involved on campus.

Note: The University Advising Center creates class schedules and works with students to adjust them, if needed.

Transfer Pioneer Day
August 2, 2024 (Friday)

New Transfer Students*

If you were unable to attend Transfer Pioneer Day, please register for Pioneer Experience. (see above)

Transfer Pioneer Day is a comprehensive one-day orientation program for transfer students* that takes place on the first Friday in August and integrates students into the university community.  Students receive information on resources and learn how to get involved on campus.  Attending Transfer Pioneer Day is a fantastic way to begin to settle into your collegiate life at Point Park University. 

*Transfer Pioneer Day is for new transfer students who are NOT in a Conservatory major (COPA).  COPA transfer students are required to register for and attend Pioneer Experience instead.

Pioneer Experience
Fall 2024

August 17-25, 2024

All New First-Year Students and
Transfer Students in a Conservatory Major

Pioneer Experience is Point Park University's full-week orientation program*.  It occurs immediately before classes start and integrates students, academically and socially, into the university community.  Students receive information on campus resources, learn how to get involved on campus, hear from a keynote speaker, enjoy entertainment and participate in community service.  

*Residential students who will be living on campus will begin attending on their assigned move-in date. 
*Commuters students who will be living off-campus will begin attending on Wednesday morning (August 21st), with check-in time between 8-9 a.m.  
*All students are then expected to attend the program every day after.

  • Online registration for Pioneer Experience is now closed.  If you have not yet registered, you may do so at the following times:
    • Saturday - Tuesday, 9 am - 4 pm, Move-In check-in at Village Park
    • Wednesday, 8 - 9 am, Pittsburgh Playhouse Lobby (enter through the UC/University Center on Wood Street)
  • Submit only one registration per student.
