Cinema Arts alum Missy Finnell (COPA ’09) had the experience of a lifetime while working as the local casting associate on a movie about children’s television pioneer Fred Rogers, which stars Tom Hanks and filmed in Pittsburgh in 2018.

When Point Park recently opened the 1906 cornerstone of the original Tree of Life synagogue, a building that was part of the old Pittsburgh Playhouse in Oakland, a Heinz pickle pin and other mementos and documents were found inside.

Three members of the men’s basketball team and Pioneers’ head coach Joe Lewandowski had a very special experience prior to the 2019-20 season. Mark Shehady, Juwan Willis, R.J. Fairrow and coach Lewandowski were selected to represent Team USA in the FIBA 3x3 U23 World Cup in Lanzhou, China.
