It’s On Us Action Week is a campus-wide initiative dedicated to preventing sexual violence, supporting survivors, and fostering a culture of consent. Every day, we’ll host impactful events that engage, educate, and inspire action. Join us for Cookies for Consent, Pledge-a-Palooza, Denim Day, and Healing with Hue, along with daily opportunities to learn, connect, and make a difference. Whether you’re taking the It’s On Us pledge, participating in discussions, or engaging in creative healing, your voice matters. Together, we can create a safer, more supportive community for all. Monday, March 31

Cookies For Consent
LH Lobby 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

Cookies for Consent is a sweet way to talk about an important topic! Join us for free cookies and a conversation about consent, healthy relationships, and supporting survivors. Learn how to set boundaries, communicate effectively, and foster a culture of respect—all while enjoying a tasty treat. Because consent is key, and everyone deserves to feel safe and heard!

Transgender Day of Visibility
LH 200 4:30-6:30 p.m.

Transgender Day of Visibility is a celebration of trans joy, resilience, and identity. Join us as we uplift and support the transgender community with resources, conversation, and connection. Community partners will be present to share information, offer support, and celebrate trans visibility. Whether you’re looking to learn, find support, or simply be in a welcoming space, this event is for you. Together, we honor and amplify trans voices—because visibility matters! 🏳️‍⚧️💙

Mindfulness Yoga
BA105 6-7 p.m.

Mindfulness Yoga is a chance to pause, breathe, and reconnect during It’s On Us Action Week. This guided session will focus on mindfulness, relaxation, and gentle movement to help relieve stress and promote healing. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced yogi, all are welcome to join in this supportive and calming space. Take time for yourself, find balance, and embrace the power of mindfulness as we work toward a safer, more compassionate community. 🧘💙

 

Tuesday, April 1

Ribbon Day
All day

Ribbon Day is a symbol of solidarity and support in the fight against sexual violence. On this day, professors who choose to participate will distribute ribbon pins in their classes, showing their commitment to fostering a campus culture of safety, respect, and advocacy. By wearing a ribbon, students and faculty stand together in support of survivors and the movement to end sexual violence. A small gesture can spark important conversations—let’s create a campus where everyone feels seen, heard, and supported. 💙🎗️

Pledge-a-Palooza
Village Park 4-6 p.m.

Pledge-a-Palooza is our final blowout event of the year, bringing the campus together for a day of fun, action, and commitment to ending sexual violence! Join us in Village Park for games, prizes, and interactive activities—all while taking the It’s On Us pledge to be an active bystander and support survivors. This is your chance to celebrate the progress we’ve made, connect with the community, and reaffirm your commitment to creating a safer, more supportive campus. Don’t miss out on the fun—let’s make a difference together! 💙🎉

 

Wednesday, April 2

Healing with Hue
SC 2nd floor 3-5 p.m.

Healing with Hue is a creative space for self-expression, reflection, and healing through art. Join us for a guided painting experience where you can use color to process emotions, find peace, and connect with others in a supportive environment. No artistic experience is needed—just bring yourself and an open mind. Whether you're a survivor, an ally, or someone looking for a moment of calm, this event is about using art as a tool for healing and empowerment. Let’s paint, heal, and support each other, one brushstroke at a time. 🎨💙

Mindfulness Yoga
BA 105 6-7 p.m.

Mindfulness Yoga is back for another session during It’s On Us Action Week! This calming and restorative class will help you find your center, release tension, and practice mindfulness through gentle movement and breathing exercises. It’s the perfect way to take a break, refocus, and connect with yourself. All levels are welcome—whether you’re looking for stress relief, emotional support, or just a peaceful space to be, this session is for you. Come as you are, breathe deeply, and embrace the present moment. 🧘💙

Take Back the Night
LH Lobby 4:30-6:30 p.m.

Take Back the Night is a powerful evening of solidarity, strength, and support. This event will bring our community together to raise awareness about sexual violence, honor survivors, and demand an end to violence in all forms. With a candlelight vigil, speeches, and a march, we’ll stand together in unity, reclaiming our space and our power. Everyone is welcome to join in the fight for safety, respect, and justice. Let’s take back the night and show that we will not be silent. 💜🕯️

 

Friday, April 4

Denim Day
All day

Denim Day is a day to stand up, speak out, and show support for survivors of sexual violence. By wearing denim, we challenge victim-blaming and spread awareness about the importance of consent and respect. Denim Day is a global movement that encourages us all to take a stand against sexual assault and show solidarity with those who have been affected. Wear your denim proudly and join the conversation—because no one ever deserves to be blamed for their own victimization. 💙👖

Pledge Chain Dedication and Reception
LH Lobby 1-2 p.m.

Dedication Ceremony & Reception is a special event to honor the commitment and support of everyone who has participated in the It’s On Us movement throughout the year. Join us as we unveil our paper chain made of student pledges, each link representing a promise to stand up against sexual violence and support survivors. Together, we’re stronger, and as the saying goes, “We are only as strong as our weakest link.” This ceremony is a heartfelt thank you to our campus community for your dedication and action. Let’s celebrate the collective effort to create a safer, more supportive environment for all. 💙🔗

Wear Your Story - Denim Day Event
Village Park 4-6 p.m.

Wear Your Story on Denim Day is a powerful opportunity to express, reflect, and take action. Join us for a day of meaningful activities, including tabling to learn more about sexual violence awareness, signing our jeans as a personal pledge to stand against violence, and taking part in the Bison Exchange Denim Flash Sale. For an emotional release, visit the Rage Box, where you can write your anger or frustration on a plate and break it in a safe space. This day is all about honoring your story, supporting survivors, and standing in solidarity. Wear your denim with pride and let your voice be heard! 💙👖🖊️
