Point Park University’s Conservatory Dance Company announces the 2018-19 season, which features bold pieces and choreographers, with performances in the new, state-of-the-art Pittsburgh Playhouse in Downtown Pittsburgh. 

“Concerts will feature diverse repertoire by some of the dance world’s renowned movers and shakers, and trending, emerging choreographers," said Garfield Lemonius, M.F.A., chair of dance and associate artistic director. "Our exceptionally talented Conservatory dancers will delight Pittsburgh audiences like never before.”

Oct. 11-14, 2018

Student Choreography Project II

One of the most anticipated traditions on campus, now featuring two presentations of different choreographers and their works in the fall and spring, Student Choreography Project features works of original choreography by the Conservatory’s students. This showcase for a wide range of styles gives dance lovers the opportunity to see new works. Many pieces from past seasons have been selected for national dance festivals. 

Winter Dance Concert
Dec. 7-16, 2018
PNC Theatre, Pittsburgh Playhouse

Join us for the first production to hit the brand new Pittsburgh Playhouse’s, PNC Theatre stage located in Downtown Pittsburgh. The Winter Dance Concert is a powerful performance of works by Edwaard Liang, Aszure Barton, Tyce Diorio and Nacho Duato.

Faculty Dance Concert
Feb. 21-24, 2019

Point Park University’s faculty choreographs special works for the Conservatory’s gifted dancers. An eclectic and electric selection of pieces range from ballet to contemporary to jazz to shine a spotlight on the versatility and strength of our students. Spring Dance Concert

The dance season culminates in a special performance of works by masters of the new and old worlds, including Kyle Abraham, Dwight Rhoden, Uri Sand and Christopher Wheeldon.
