"Point Park's Pittsburgh Playhouse is beautiful. The dance studios, the workspaces, the performance spaces, there's so much to talk about. I love spending time there and it really is a privilegeĀ as a student at Point Park."
Why did you choose Point Park University’s B.F.A. acting program?
I enjoyed Point Park's campus and the location in the city adds to its charm.
Milia Ayache, director of acting, cares for and about the students. She carries herself with such a commanding presence, yet comforting light. She truly is inspirational.
Are you a recipient of Point Park's visit scholarship?
Yes. I toured the campus in the spring while considering the acting program. I was surprised and grateful to receive the visit scholarship, which helps me afford tuition.
As a freshman, what are highlights of your first semester?
Some highlights include watching my art improve and evolve.
Additionally, I am so grateful for the support from my teachers. They really care about their students and their individual experiences. I had medical issues and was hospitalized for three days. When I returned to school, my teachers extended my assignments and were so compassionate. You are not a number here, you are a student. The amount of care and consideration the faculty and staff have for their students is truly remarkable.
What’s it like training in the University’s Pittsburgh Playhouse?
The Pittsburgh Playhouse is BEAUTIFUL. The dance studios, the workspaces, the performance spaces, there's so much to talk about. My favorite thing about it is all of the spaces are free to move through and use. I love spending time there and it really is a privilege as a student at Point Park.

What advice do you have for a student auditioning for the acting program?
Don't be scared or afraid to try something new. The faculty want you to succeed inside and outside of the program. Don't be afraid to be different or weird. I'm pretty weird and they let me in!
What’s it like living in learning in Downtown Pittsburgh?
I love walking to Point State Park because it's the closest I can get to nature. I'm from a small town filled with green, and I think connecting to nature is important for me. It helps me stay grounded.
What are your career goals?
To achieve longevity in the industry doing what I love for as long as my body lets me. I want to be comfortable and sustainable.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
Stay true to who you are, and you'll find who you need to be. Never lose sight of yourself.
