Part-time professor wins Ray Sprigle Memorial Award Friday, May 18, 2012
Andrew Conte, a School of Communication part-time professor and director of the Point Park News Service, won the Ray Sprigle Memorial Award at the Press Club of Western Pennsylvania's annual Golden Quill Awards banquet on May 14.
Conte won the award for Daily Newspapers and Wire Services, Circulation Over 45,000, for "Code Green: Bleeding Dollars," co-written by Luis Fabregas and published in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
The Golden Quill competition recognizes professional excellence in journalism in western Pennsylvania.
