Degree earned: B.A. in public relations and advertising
Graduation year: 2006

Why did you decide to pursue your bachelor's degree from Point Park?
I loved that Point Park had a metropolitan location but still had the intimacy of a smaller school.
Please list internship experiences you had throughout college.
- Technical website writing for Butler Technologies, Inc.
- Newsletter writing for SeniorCare Network
- Press release writing for the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh
How did you land your current position at the Children's Museum?
I started a marketing internship immediately after graduation. It led to a part-time position as a marketing assistant, which led to my full-time position as marketing coordinator.
What are some of your key responsibilities as a marketing coordinator?
I write and design our bi-monthly newsletter, write press releases and track and organize press coverage.
What were some of your favorite experiences at Point Park?
Point Park was a college when I started and a university when I graduated. It was exciting to see the transition and growth while I was there.
What are your career goals?
I have worked for non-profit organizations since high school, so I would like to continue to grow my career and experience in that field. I would also like to come back to Point Park to earn a master's degree someday.
Anything else you'd like to add?
Seek out internships even if they are unpaid or not for academic credit. I took an internship with the Children's Museum after graduation because I knew it would be a worthwhile experience and it led to the job I have now.
