As an international student, why did you choose Point Park to pursue your M.B.A. degree?

For me, I think it came down to three reasons. First, the M.B.A. program at Point Park offered a perfect blend of quality, flexibility and rigor. Second, the small class sizes presented an opportunity to foster close relationships with faculty in which students are able to receive personal attention and guidance on their academic performance and career developments. Finally, I liked that the school is located in the heart of Pittsburgh — a great place that has a lot to offer.

How did you land your current position as a market risk analyst?

The M.B.A. program provided me with the knowledge and skills to land a position as a market risk analyst at one of the leading banks in Mongolia. Point Park's distinguished professors with real-world experience broadened my horizons and business perspectives in unique ways.

Who influenced you during your time at Point Park?

I must give kudos to Dr. Dimitris J. Kraniou, my academic advisor and one of my professors. Through the courses, he challenged and influenced me in ways that no other professor has. He enabled me to think more critically and creatively.

Describe your experiences with Point Park's M.B.A. professors.

Point Park's M.B.A. professors are exceptional professionals. All professors I took classes from had a broad knowledge in their respective areas and an exceptional skill in bringing their fascination of the subject matter to students. Overall, I had a very good experience with Point Park's M.B.A. professors.

What are your career goals?

My career goals are to become the best market risk analyst I can be for the bank I work for and to move into a position of responsibility in which I can lead the team. In the long term, I would like to own a business and attain a career in business management.

Final thoughts?

Earning an M.B.A. from Point Park was not easy but the rewards are so worth the effort. Not only did it transform my skill sets but it also provided me the opportunity to realize my potential in various areas of business.
