Tell us about the internship work you do for Connect Wolf.
At Connect Wolf, I learned how to research and investigate potential options for (after prototype) versions and quality assurance (QA). Also, I've been directly engaged in constructions of battery testers and printed circuit boards.
What factors made you choose Point Park University to study engineering?
I was referred to Point Park University by my cousin who graduated from here with a bachelor’s degree. I learned that Point Park offered everything I was looking for in an electrical engineering technology program.
I was also impressed by the fact that the University offers small class sizes, meaning that every student has a good opportunity to interact with faculty. Moreover, I liked that the University’s engineering programs help students build professional ties through real-world projects and internships.
How have your Point Park classes and the faculty helped you in this internship?
Point Park's classes have been very instrumental in my internship. All of my electrical engineering major classes have given me the theoretical knowledge that I have applied during the internship. Additionally, the knowledge I have gained in the Digital Electronics classes have been directly applicable to the internship.
What are your favorite things to do in Pittsburgh?
My favorite things to do in Pittsburgh are visit museums, kayak and explore historical buildings.
What are your career goals and how will your engineering degree from Point Park help you reach them?
My career goals are to earn a Master of Science degree in engineering management from Point Park, work in the United States for a couple of years and then go back to Saudi Arabia and use my skills to help improve the electrical engineering industry there. I hope to work in the electrical equipment manufacturing industry where I can use my knowledge.
The knowledge I have gained at Point Park University will help me achieve my dreams because it has expanded my understanding of electrical and electronic principles.
