POSITION:  Assistant Professor - Applied Computer Science (Tenure-track)

DEPARTMENT:  Rowland School of Business

The Business Analytics and Technology Department in the Rowland School of Business is seeking an Assistant Professor of Applied Computer Science for a tenure-track position. Preferred candidates should be an expert in networking and security but should also be knowledgeable of recent advancements in software development, big data and analytics, and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Candidates with teaching experience and a terminal degree in Applied Computer Science or a related field are preferred.

The selected candidate will teach in Point Park University's state-of-the-art Applied Computer Science Program. The curriculum for the Applied Computer Science degree offers a set of core courses for a well-rounded education alongside concentrations in networking and security, software development, and big data and analytics. The appointed candidate is expected to take ownership of the courses offered in the networking and security concentration, but at the same time should also contribute and teach core courses and courses offered in the other concentrations. All courses are offered both on-ground and online and hands-on is a critical component in every course.
