FAFSA Process for 2025-26

The FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Anyone who wants financial aid for college will need to fill out the FAFSA.  The FAFSA is available as of Dec. 1, 2024 for the 2025-26 academic year.

Here’s what you will need to know about FAFSA:

  • The FAFSA is available as of Dec. 1, 2024.
  • Students attending college July 1, 2025–June 30, 2026 will be able to file the FAFSA using 2023 income tax data in a process known as Prior-Prior Year.  Students are urged to use the IRS data retrieval tool to pull student and/or parent tax information into their FAFSA.
  • All new and current (undergraduate and graduate) students must file the FAFSA on an annual basis. Prior-Prior Year does NOT mean that it covers multiple application years.

The form can be accessed at www.studentaid.gov, and Point Park’s school code is 003357. In order to be considered for all available aid, it is highly recommended that prospective and current students submit a FAFSA each year, preferably by the priority deadlines noted below.
