Start the Official Process
Decide When You Want to Study Abroad
Determine the semester you would like to study abroad and check on the application deadline. Applications are generally due in September for the spring semester and February for the summer and fall semesters.
Begin the Application Process
Program applications and paperwork can be found in PointSync once they are made available after the study abroad information meeting held each semester.
Meet With Your Academic Advisor
Schedule a meeting with your academic advisor to identify course options that fit into your program guide. Course information and forms are available in PointSync in Files by program and semester of interest.
Complete Important Paperwork
Submit Your Paperwork On Time
Ensure timely submission of your paperwork to the study abroad coordinator. Prior to submission, read all program information including the Study Abroad Handbook. Be sure to follow all instructions in the handbook, as well as the appropriate checklist and guide available in PointSync in Files by program and semester of interest.
Apply For or Renew Your Passport
Begin the process of obtaining or renewing your passport on the Before You Go page on the U.S. Department of State's web page for students studying abroad. Carefully read and follow all instructions to avoid delays in processing.
