Point Park University's programs leading to Bachelor of Science degrees in electrical engineering and mechanical engineering are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET (www.abet.org).ABET-accredited programs have demonstrated their excellence during rigorous, objective, periodic reviews conducted by external evaluators. The laws related to the professional practice of engineering in most states give preference to graduates of ABET-accredited programs because the quality of their education is known. Students who are considering the study of engineering or engineering technology are encouraged to inquire whether prospective programs maintain ABET accreditation.
