Learning Goals: The class will engage in Creative bead making while discussing Africa.

Objective: The students will be able to create African necklaces while begin introduced the African culture.
Materials: Book: Children Just Like Me, by: Barnabus and Anabel Kindersley
Necklace String
Different types of Beads
Pictures of Masks
Adaptations to Differentiate Instruction: The teacher and the students will use the computer to look up other facts about Africa.
Procedure: "African Necklaces"

The class will be shown in pictures the different types of African necklaces that people where.

The class will then be introduced to beads and string to create their own necklaces.

The class will come together and the teacher will explain that most necklaces are given a name and represent something.

The students will then name their necklaces.

The class will all go to the computer and look up pictures of what children their age play with and do in Africa.
