Gain Filmmaking Experience Using State-of-the-Art Equipment and Facilities

High school students will gain hands-on filmmaking experience at Point Park University's Film Production Workshop on Friday, Dec. 6 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A complimentary lunch will be provided. 

Hosted by the Department of Cinema Arts, the Film Production Workshop takes students through the filmmaking process from production to post-production.

The primary color correction suite includes a Mac Studio, DaVinci Resolve software, Color Grading Control Surfaces with Tangent Element Control Panels and Tangent Ripple Controller. The room is equipped with a professional calibrated Flanders monitor, multiple monitors and a 78-inch TV.
    • Watch and participate in filming a scene in the Cinema Arts soundstage.
    • Learn about the production crew positions.
    • Try out the production crew positions.
    • See a post-production workflow edit in our post-production facilities using Avid Media Composer, DaVinci Resolve, Avid Pro Tools and the Dolby Atmos mixing room.
