Point Park alumni are making their mark in all kinds of creative occupations and industries. Meet three alums who are stirring up the culinary scene, in Pittsburgh and beyond:

Charles Kerber, who earned his degree in human resource management at Point Park in 1997, is known simply as Chef Chuck. A corporate executive chef and graduate of the Pennsylvania Culinary Institute, Kerber was named one of Pittsburgh's Top 50 by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. He also writes the popular blog, Pittsburgh Hot Plate.

Cindy Komarinski answers to professor, executive and personal chef, innkeeper, mom, farmer, and student. A professor of culinary arts/hospitality programs at Westmoreland County Community College in Youngwood, Pa., who earned her M.B.A. degree at Point Park in 2000, she was named 2011 Distinguished Alumnus at WCCC and developed curriculum for new courses and a chef apprenticeship program.

Kevin Chen, who earned his M.B.A. degree at Point Park in 2001, is a Taiwanese chef and owner of Teppanyaki Kyoto in the Highland Park section of Pittsburgh. He and his Japanese wife Shiho Jinno, a fellow Point Park alum who graduated from the Conservatory of Performing Arts in 2003, opened their popular new restaurant in January 2012.
