Accreditation
Point Park University is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, 1007 North Orange Street, 4th Floor, MB #166, Wilmington, DE 19801, 267-284-5011, and complies with all regulations of the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
The University’s specialized program accreditations are listed below:
- The program leading to a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering technology is accredited by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission of ABET, and programs leading to a Bachelor of Science degree with majors in electrical engineering and mechanical engineering are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET. - Programs leading to a Master of Business Administration degree, to a Master of Science in Health Care Administration and Management; a Bachelor of Science Post-Baccalaureate degree in Accounting, Business Management and Human Resource Management, a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Applied Computer Science, Business Management, Economics and Finance, Human Resource Management, Marketing and Sales, and Sports, Arts and Entertainment Management are accredited by the International Accreditation Council for Business Education.
- Programs leading to certification in all education programs are approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
- The Point Park Psy.D. program is a Clinical Psy.D. program that is accredited on contingency by the Commission on Accreditation of the American Psychological Association as of July 21, 2019. A program that is accredited on contingency is an APA-accredited program, and students whose doctoral graduation date falls during the period that this accreditation status is in place will be deemed to have graduated from an accredited program. The program is accredited, on contingency through the following date: July 21, 2024. The program will apply for full accreditation during the 2022-2023 academic year.
