Placement Information For the 2025 International Summer Dance Intensive

Dance Placement Details

Placements for our 6-week and 3-week students (both residents and commuters) will occur the first two days of the dance intensive. Monday, June 16 and Tuesday, June 17.  Group and placement number will be assigned during check-in. Students will start classes in their assigned placements on Wednesday, June 18. 

Placements for our 2-week students (both residents and commuters) will occur on Sunday, July 6 from 4 - 7:45 p.m. with a dinner break. Orientation will follow. Group and placement number will be assigned during check-in. Students will start classes in their assigned placements on Monday, July 7. 

All placements will be provided to students via a physical letter. Residential students will receive the letter from their RA the night before classes, and commuter students can pick up their letter at the Pre-College Programs table outside of the dance complex the morning of. Individual emails will also be sent out regarding placements. The dance faculty will be observing all dancers closely after placements are finalized to determine if level changes are needed.

If a student needs a different placement, the instructor will make an adjustment by completing a Level Change Form. Changes will occur the FOLLOWING DAY.
