Background
Beginning in 1960 as a junior college, Point Park offered two-year degrees in business and accounting. The bachelor’s degree programs in these majors were established in 1966 as Point Park became a four-year, baccalaureate degree-granting college. Located in West Penn Hall, the Rowland School of Business at Point Park University currently offers one doctoral degree program, four master’s degree programs, 12 bachelor’s degree programs and 18 minors.
Some Key Achievements:
- First school within the University to offer a co-op program to Point Park students
- Academic partnership with Stage AE since 2011
- Launched Pioneer Records, the University's student-run record label, in 2015 and opened campus headquarters in 2023
- Established a Center for Veteran's Excellence, including a female veteran resource fund
- Created a Women In Industry Speaker Series
- Created an esports club
- Won first place in the 2024 America250PA Direct Effect™ Innovation Challenge
