About the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19)

Point Park University is accepting scheduled campus visits. Admission counselors will also continue to accommodate prospective families via email, phone, live chat, virtual tour, virtual appointment and Open House 2.0.

Dear Point Park students,

November has arrived and, with it, preparations for the conclusion of our fall 2020 semester. I want to take a moment to commend each of you for staying on track with your educational and career goals during this unprecedented time, and for your good work to keep yourself and those around you safe and well.

As we look forward to Thanksgiving break, please keep the following in mind:

All classes and final exams will be fully remote after Thanksgiving. No classes will be held on campus after Friday, November 20, 2020. Click here for an important video from Dr. Jonas Prida, Assistant Provost, on how the remainder of the semester works.
News throughout the state and nation indicates that COVID-19 cases continue to rise. This is an ongoing reminder that the virus continues to affect all of us. It’s very important to stay vigilant and practice all public health guidelines now, throughout the winter break and beyond.
On campus or off, mask-wearing, social distancing and hand washing are all proven keys to keeping each of us – and those around us – safe and healthy. If you will be traveling, be sure to self-quarantine for 10-14 days before and after travel. And since cold and flu season is now upon us, please be sure to get a flu shot if you haven’t already done so.
The spring 2021 semester will start one week later than scheduled, on January 19, 2021. Be sure to register for spring classes through Point Web and check in with your Student Success adviser to ensure that you are on track regarding academic and other requirements.
Point Park University continues to follow guidelines and best practices offered by state and county health officials, as well as our medical partners at UPMC. To protect our campus community from unnecessary exposure, there will be no Spring Break in 2021. Finals will conclude on April 30, 2021.
We hope to have an in-person commencement ceremony on May 1, 2021,only if state and county guidelines permit gatherings of that size. We will keep graduating students and their families posted.

We are grateful to you, and the entire campus community, for your efforts to maintain health and safety while pursuing your educational and career goals. As we continue to work together and support each other during this extraordinary time, we will meet and surpass each and every challenge.
