Continue your education at Point Park University

If you have completed an associate degree at a community college - or are currently taking classes at a community college - you may be able to continue at Point Park to earn a bachelor's degree in any of over 70 undergraduate majors, including some of today's most sought-after fields.

Welcoming Community College Students

As a transfer-friendly university, Point Park welcomes students transferring from any community college in the U.S., whether in Pennsylvania or across the country.

Once you apply for admission and submit your transcripts, we will carefully review your completed course work to ensure Point Park accepts as many credits as possible that meet the University's core curriculum and degree requirements.  You may even be eligible to matriculate to Point Park as an advanced student with junior status.

Formal Transfer Agreements

Point Park has partnered with regional community colleges, including the Community College of Allegheny County and the Community College of Beaver County, to establish formal transfer agreements that make the process as smooth as possible for students. Please follow the links below for detailed information about these schools:

In general, formal transfer agreements between Point Park and individual community colleges lay out a pathway for two categories of students - those who have completed an associate degree and those who are taking classes toward an associate degree.

Students who have earned an associate degree

Students who have completed an associate degree in certain disciplines may continue at Point Park as advanced standing students with junior status. The disciplines vary by community college, so please check the links for each school.

Students working toward an associate degree

Students wishing to transfer before completing an associate degree will receive a careful evaluation of completed course work to ensure Point Park accepts as many credits as possible that meet the University's core curriculum and degree requirements.

Under the transfer agreements, students who transfer a specified number of credits, then earn a specified number of additional credit hours at Point Park can be awarded an associated degree from their community college. Please check the links for each school.
