Physical Plant and Facilities Supporting the University Community
Point Park University has a fully staffed Physical Plant Department to provide and maintain quality facilities, services and equipment to enrich the educational experience of students and support the entire community.
The department oversees campus construction projects, housekeeping functions and critical services.
Point Park's advanced recycling program is creating a greener campus. Containers located on every floor of every campus buildings make it easy for students, faculty, and staff to recycle paper, metal cans, aluminum cans, and plastic. Read about recycling policies and how you can help.
Point Park offers shuttle service to Oakland. The University also offers students transportation to the airport in advance of holidays, rides to shopping areas and comprehensive commuter resources. Check out the shuttle schedules and all the transportation information available with a valid campus or visitor identification.
It's easy to submit a work order. The department encourages students and other members of the community to use the online system, which streamlines requests and responses.

Point Park University's architect/planner, Elmer Burger II, works in conjunction with the senior vice president of finance and operations, Bridget Mancosh, to direct the Academic Village Initiative and the environmental, sustainable overlay for the $244 million campus and public enhancement space plan.
In 2018, the University updated the Master Space Plan. The goal of this plan is to create a dynamic and identifiable campus that spatially fulfills the academic, student life, and administrative objectives of the University and complements and enhances the downtown community.
