Point Park University has announced the following election of candidates for membership on the Board of Trustees.

Edward A. Haberle has been elected as a candidate for membership on the Board of Trustees at Point Park. Haberle is currently the director of North American sporting goods at Nike, Inc. He has been with the company for 30 years.

Haberle is a 1979 business graduate of Point Park University, where he played baseball, leading the Pioneers to two College World Series championships in 1978 and 1979. In 2003, Haberle was inducted into the University's athletic hall of fame.

Jacqui Fiske Lazo has been elected as an emeritus member of the Board of Trustees at Point Park. Lazo is currently the leader of the Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney, PC Real Estate Practice Group and a member of Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney's Board of Directors.

Lazo served as a Trustee of the University from 1999 until 2009. She has been actively involved in the community for many years, most recently serving as the immediate past chair of the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh board of trustees and is also a life trustee at the Library. In addition, she is a member of the International Women's Forum executive committee. Lazo is the solicitor for the Public Parking Authority of Pittsburgh, and is a member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers.

John Taormina is stepping down from service as president of Point Park's Alumni Association Board of Directors. Taormina is the senior director of the Allegheny Northside YMCA. He has been active with the Alumni Association Board of Directors as a volunteer for 11 years and served as board president for nine years.
