What Does Trouble Mean, Nate Smith's Revolution, a documentary about the Pittsburgh African American labor rights activist Nate Smith, will be premiering on television Friday, Feb. 18 and at 7 p.m. and Feb. 27 at 12 p.m. on WPXI television Pittsburgh (Ch 11).

Point Park University alumni, students and faculty held key positions in the production of this film. Andrew Halasz, assistant professor in the cinema and digital arts department, served as the supervising sound editor/mixer. Cinema and digital arts students Noel Schermaier and Brittany Klesic served as sound editors. In addition, cinema and digital arts alumni produced the historical reenactments for the film. Elise LaGamba served as the production designer, Jon Joseph as producer and Donny Thomas as cinematographer. Conservatory theatre student James Ogden II played young Nate Smith in the reenactments.

Post-production sound facilities were provided by Point Park University.

This film not only profiles a pivotal figure in the struggle to integrate the construction workers unions, but also paints a portrait of Pittsburgh during this historic period and highlights Pittsburgh's role in helping in the national fight for civil rights. It was produced by the Robert Morris University Center for Documentary Study and Production.
