Why did you choose to attend Point Park University?

I grew up in a small town and attended a small high school. I wanted something different without too much of a culture shock. Point Park University seemed perfect because it is a small university but in the middle of the city.

What advice do you have for students considering Point Park?

Immerse yourself in the experience. Get involved in as many diverse activities as possible, meet new people and try new things.

What makes the public relations and advertising program so unique?

The public relations and advertising program at Point Park is very well-rounded. The faculty are knowledgeable and are working or have worked in the field. Students have the opportunity to go on agency tours as well as meet many speakers that the program brings in. I feel prepared to work in the field in an account management or copyrighting position because the program taught me how to write, use social media and focus on client interaction.

What are your future career goals?

While I do not have a job yet, I am in the second round of interviews for my dream job. I hope to work in account management at a small advertising or public relations agency.
