In what ways has Point Park University shaped who you are today?

I'm way different than I was before I enrolled at Point Park. I've really grown as a person. There are great people at the University and the SAEM program has given me the tools to succeed. I really liked Point Park's small class sizes and urban campus. As students, we definitely learned a lot about Pittsburgh and made the city our campus.

Describe the SAEM faculty.

Steve Tanzilli, Ed Traversari, Teresa Gregory and David Rowell all work in the fields they teach. Their first-hand experiences give students the tools they need to be able to make it in the business world. It was very helpful how they would go out and work and often that same day would bring back their experiences into the classroom for discussion.

What do you recommend to current students to make the most of their time at Point Park?

Get involved. It doesn't necessarily have to be in a club at school but could be job shadowing and internships. Move toward the direction you want your career to go. Also, my other advice is to be kind and work hard.

What's next for you?

I'm in the process of finding a job in the live entertainment business. My roots are in Pittsburgh but I'm up for moving wherever a job may take me. However, Pittsburgh will always be home.

Is there anything else you'd like to add?

It was a great honor to win both awards. I'm proud to be associated with Point Park and thankful for all the University has given me. I hope I can continue to make Point Park proud with future accomplishments.
