Full-time, Tenure-track Position in Composition, Humanities and Human Sciences Department
The Department of Humanities and Human Sciences at Point Park University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor, beginning Fall 2015. Responsibilities include teaching first-year composition courses and designing developmental writing and ESL curriculum. Experience teaching online and administering a first-year composition program is preferred. The teaching load will be 4/4 or 12 credit hours per term. An ideal candidate would contribute to curriculum development and be prepared to provide vision and leadership to an evolving first-year composition and writing across the curriculum program.
Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience.
A Ph. D. in composition and rhetoric or related field. Degree must be in hand before a contract will be issued. The best candidate will also have a record of successful teaching at the undergraduate level, potential for and interest in writing program administration, and a commitment to research activities that are relevant to the classroom.
