PITTSBURGH -- The Point Park University women's basketball team will hold its Play 4Kay Game Feb. 1 vs. Daemen. Tipoff is 7 p.m. at CCAC-South Gym in West Mifflin, Pa.

The Pioneers are taking part in the initiative, which is sponsored by the Women's Basketball Coaches' Association. All proceeds from the Feb. 1 game will be donated to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, which is named for the late North Carolina State women's basketball head coach who lost her battle with cancer.

Online donations can also be made leading up to the Feb. 1 event. Donate online in the name of the Point Park Team at the 'DONATE' link above. The Pioneers have a Team Goal of $3,000 to raise before Feb. 1.

If the $3,000 goal is raised, Point Park women's basketball head coach Tony Grenek will shave his head after the Daemen game in support of those battling cancer. Deadline is Feb. 1 including game-day proceeds.

Game Admission is $4 for adults, $2 for students. The matchup with Daemen is a rematch of last year's AMC Tournament championship game, won by Point Park, 60-48, at home on Feb. 25, 2012. Daemen is 19-6 and ranked No. 1 in the USCAA.

Fans who come out to the game Feb. 1 will be treated to an exciting, rivalry game between two strong teams! Those who wear pink will be entered into raffles for exciting prizes!
