PITTSBURGH – Point Park University softball has signed talented pitcher Audrey Eisentrout out of Allegany (Md.) High School, announced Point Park head coach Michelle Coultas. Eisentrout, a native of Cumberland, Md., will be a freshman for the Pioneers in the fall of 2011.
Eisentrout carried a regular season record of 16-1 for Allegany this year before leading the Campers onto a playoff run. She was named to the Cumberland Times-News All-City Team.
“Audrey Eisentrout has good speed and good location, and is a strikeout pitcher,” said Coultas. “She has a good head for the game and is very coachable as well. She is also a good student and an overall good addition to the team.”
Eisentrout, who is 5-foot-8, was mainly a pitcher for Allegany but also can play outfield and third base. She plays club ball for Tri-State Thunder 18U.
