Point Park women place 9th of 12 teams at Pitt-Greensburg Invitational

GREENSBURG, Pa. -- The Point Park University women's cross country team finished 9th of 12 teams Saturday at the Pitt-Greensburg Invitational.
In the field fo 112 runners, Keri Rouse led the Pioneers in 28th place with a time of 28:27. Christina Winiewski was next in 38th place with a time of 29:53, and Lindsey Palmer's time of 30:01 put her in 41st place.
Point Park was once again without some of its top runners as Ashley Goodsell, Lindsay Dill and Katie Johnston did not compete.
Leah Bubeck (32:18), Becky Lessner (33:26), Martinie Saul (33:46) and Alyssa Kijewski (33:56) all finished in the middle of the pack of the 112 runners. Alexandria Wingrove (37:07) and Carleigh Dettorre (37:47) also competed.
Point Park will compete next Saturday, Oct. 8 at the Carnegie Mellon Invitaitonal hosted in Schenley Park.
