Pioneers compete at Carnegie Mellon meet, finish 15th in challenging field

PITTSBURGH -- Point Park University competed at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational on Oct. 6, and the Pioneers placed 15th of 17 schools in a challenging field of teams in the women's race at Schenley Park.
Hana Jiraskova led the Pioneers with a time of 20:27 in the 5K race. She was followed close behind by teammate Lindsay Dill at 20:39. Maddie Goldcamp (22:35) and Christina Wisniewski (23:49) were other top finishers for Point Park.

The Pioneers are off for three weeks before returning to action Oct. 27 at the Walsh University Meet in North Canton, Ohio. That event is the last tune-up before the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Meet Nov. 3 at Indiana University East in Richmond, Ind.
