Rager featured as guest speaker at 'Sports Night' Sunday

PITTSBURGH -- Point Park University men's basketball coach Bob Rager will be featured as a guest speaker at the 51st annual Thompson Run Athletic Association Sports Night on Sunday.
Rager, who is in his 21st season as head coach of the Pioneers, has been involved in the event for a number of years as a guest speaker. The Sports Night regularly features some of the biggest names in Western Pennsylvania sports as honorees and speakers.
The event is co-sponsored by the Homestead District Lions Club, and all proceeds benefit Lions charities.

Bill Hillgrove, the play-by-play voice of the Pittsburgh Steelers as well as Pitt football and men's basketball will be the master of ceremonies.
Highlighting the event will be the presentation of the Bob Prince Memorial Award, which is named for legendary Pittsburgh Pirates broadcaster. This year, WTAE-TV anchor Sally Wiggin will be the first female to receive the award, which honors the man who had been the master of ceremonies at the Sports Night prior to Hillgrove.
Other honorees include former NFL lineman Bill Fralic, who will recognized as the Man of Yesteryear Award recipient. Among the guest speakers is broadcaster Paul Alexander of FSN Pittsburgh.
Rager has a record of 286-257 at Point Park. He was hired as the Pioneers' fourth men's basketball coach prior to the 1989-90 season.
