Students and families can apply now for annual or semester payment plan

Point Park offers extensive financial aid options to make the University's quality private education affordable. Students and their families can consider a wide range of aid opportunities, including scholarships, grants, loans, student employment, assistantships and employer reimbursement programs.

Increasingly, they are also using another, sometimes overlooked, option - a payment plan.

"Payment plans are a great benefit for families," says Misty Abraham, director of student accounts. "We are seeing increased interest in Point Park's plans because they in effect provide interest-free financing, plus they are easy to apply for and use."

Available plans

  • Annual plan divided by 10, 9 or 8 payments
  • Semester plan divided by 5 or 4 payments

Students in the American Board for Certification of Teacher Excellence program can apply for a separate payment plan.

A one-time enrollment fee applies to each. Application forms are available online through PointWeb, the University's resource that gives students access to key financial, academic and Point Park information.

As soon as an applicant completes and signs the online form/promissory note, the Office of Student Accounts reviews total educational expenses, including room and board, and credits scholarships, grants, loans and other financial aid. The office then calculates the monthly payments and issues coupons due on the 15th of the month. Payments can be made by mail, in person or online through PointWeb.

"The plans are designed to be convenient," says Abraham. "Many families find the annual plan works best for them because they can budget once for an academic year and pay a single enrollment fee."

Enrollment deadlines are the same as first payment due dates.
