Point Park University's intelligence and national security degree program in Pittsburgh is one of only three of its type in the country. Our intelligence and national security major uses broad course work to prepare you for entry-level career opportunities in homeland security.

Take Action

Language skills, critical thinking, analytical skills, strategic thinking, ethical behavior — all are necessary and woven throughout the curriculum. Intelligence and national security majors meet professionals from local federal law enforcement and intelligence agencies while being taught by adjunct professors who work for these agencies.

Intelligence Degrees Offered

The following degrees, as well as a certificate, are offered in this intelligence and national security program:

  • Bachelor of Science
  • Bachelor of Science - post-baccalaureate - Open to students who have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum cumulative Q.P.A. of 2.5 who seek a second degree to supplement their credentials in the field).
  • Certificate - Offered in a traditional face-to-face classroom format or fully online (Designed to help students advance to administrative positions in their chosen professions in the fields of homeland security, intelligence and law enforcement, as well as in the emergency medical services environment.)
  • Minor -18 credits required
