Accessing your 1098-T Tax Form
1098-T forms are made available by Jan. 31 of each year.
Educational Tax Credits
Students may be eligible to claim The American Opportunity Tax Credit and the Lifetime Learning Credit under the Taxpayer Relief Act of 1997. For additional information on these education benefits and eligibility, visit www.irs.gov.
Point Park University reports the amount billed (Box 2) for qualified tuition and related expenses as well as the amount of scholarships and grants (Box 5) the student received for the calendar year. We do not report amounts paid (Box 1).
For example, a tuition payment made in December 2015 toward the spring 2016 semester will not be reflected on the 2015 1098-T form because the payment offsets a 2016 charge.
Complete the electronic consent form to receive 1098-T notifications electronically.
