The mission of our Master of Arts in educational administration program is to prepare professional educators for leadership positions as school administrators or principals.

Fully Online Program

Our fully online, 36-credit Master of Arts in educational administration cohort program will advance your professional knowledge and lead you to Pre-K through 12th grade principal certification.

Through their practicums, students will spend considerable time in K-12 classrooms to satisfy Pennsylvania Department of Education requirements pertaining to field experience and observation hours.

Meet Our Faculty

Elisabeth Ehrlich, Ed.D., senior lecturer and coordinator of the Principal Certificate and M.A. in Educational Administration programs

Dr. Ehrlich served as assistant superintendent for Clairton City School District, elementary principal for Highlands School District and worked as a Title 1 Reading Teacher for various school districts in Pennsylvania.

Richard Gutkind, Ph.D., professor of education and director of master's programs in the School of Education

Prior to Point Park, Dr. Gutkind had a 35-year career holding various positions for the Pittsburgh Public Schools including mathematics teacher at two schools, supervisor of a Title I mathematics program and assistant principal at two schools.
