The Master of Arts in journalism and mass communication / Master of Business Administration program allows students to obtain both degrees in as little as two years of full-time course work. This rigorous program is designed for highly motivated students who work or plan to work in management and executive positions in advertising, broadcasting, integrated marketing communications, print/digital media, public relations or related industries. Students in the program choose one of three M.A. concentrations, while the M.B.A. courses provide the necessary business skills in areas such as finance, managerial methods, organizational management and strategic skills. This concentration is designed for students who plan to, or already work in, management and executive positions in the public relations, advertising, integrated marketing communications, or comprehensive marketing professions and industries.
