Degrees/Majors

The Conservatory of Performing Arts offers the following degrees:

Cinema Arts

The Cinema Arts Department offers B.A. and B.F.A. degrees in:

Dance

The Department of Dance offers degrees in:

Students who demonstrate exceptional talent in the audition process may be offered acceptance into the B.F.A. program upon entering the program. B.F.A. auditions are held for all other students following the completion of freshman year. Dance pedagody is a B.A. program only.

Theatre

The Department of Theatre offers degrees in:

Interested B.A. and transfer students may audition for the B.F.A. at the end of their first year of training. Please note: Any student transferring into the acting or musical theatre programs will be accepted as a freshman. Transfer students will receive elective credit for previous college-level theatre training.

M.F.A. in Screenwriting and Playwriting

Over the course of two years, students in the low-residency Master of Fine Arts in writing for the screen and stage program are required to attend three residencies of one to two weeks on Point Park's Downtown Pittsburgh campus. Courses will be completed online during the fall and spring semesters.
