Pursue Law Studies at Pittsburgh's Only Downtown University
The legal studies major is geared toward traditional and transfer students who bring a wide range of credits to Point Park. Located in Downtown Pittsburgh, our program provides a cosmopolitan, liberal arts background focused on critical thinking, logical argumentation, the interpretation of complex issues and the fundamental principles that animate the life of a democratic society. Students attend classes taught by judges, attorneys and government officials and have the opportunity to walk to the courthouse to observe civil and criminal proceedings in progress.
Use your associate degree to earn a B.A. in legal studies and then go on to pursue law school or a career as a legal assistant or law enforcement agent. For the transfer student, the program leading to a B.A. degree with a legal studies major is designed for students with associate degrees in paralegal studies, criminology and law enforcement.
